Stop Renting™
Terms

The terms for using this site.

Last updated: October 16, 2026

By using this site you agree to these terms. They are meant to be fair and readable, not a trap. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site.

The assessments are guidance, not advice

The audits, the Deed Test, and everything else here are tools for thinking, built from experience. They are educational. They are not legal, financial, tax, or professional advice for your specific situation, and they do not create a client relationship. Use your own judgment, and bring in a qualified advisor for decisions that warrant one.

No promise of results

We share what has worked. We cannot promise the same outcome for you. What you build with these ideas is your work and your responsibility.

What belongs to whom

The names, frameworks, assessments, and writing on this site, including Stop Renting, Build What Matters, the audits, and the keynote and book titles, are protected materials used by Stop Renting™ and its contracting legal entity. You are welcome to read, take the assessments, and share links. You may not copy, resell, or repackage the materials commercially without a license. Reach out about licensing if that is what you want to do.

Your use of the site

Use the site lawfully. Do not try to break it, scrape it at scale, or misuse the forms. Answers you submit should be your own and honest, which is also the only way the assessments are worth anything.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, the Stop Renting contracting entity identified on your agreement or invoice is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or its tools. The site is provided as is.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms, and the date at the top will reflect it. Questions go to legal@stoprentingyourbusiness.com. Paid services are also governed by the signed proposal or agreement, including its governing-law, payment, cancellation, refund, tax, and dispute terms. If those terms conflict with this page, the signed agreement controls for that service.

This page is a plain-language draft, not legal advice. Have it reviewed by counsel before launch.
